Delivery FAQS

Our last day for the year is Wednesday 23rd of December. Our office will reopen on the 4th of January
Orders placed after 11am on the 23rd of December will be posted on the 6th of January 2016. This includes EXPRESS POST orders. .


We accept Visa and Mastercard as form of payment. Australian based customers can also pay via direct bank deposit. Orders are posted once payment is made.
Paypal is not set up on our online store. If you wish to pay via Paypal please contact us as we can arrange this for you. Or you can chose direct deposit and then write PAYPAL in the 'order comments' field and we will send you a Paypal payment request. PH  03 8394 3285

Orders are send via Australia post with a tracking number.
Orders outside of Australia cannot pay via direct bank deposit. These orders must pay with a credit card. Our phone number for international customers is Phone  61 3 8394 3285. Australian country code is 61 and our loacl area code is 03, when calling from overseas you drop the zero in the local 03 area code.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS-Please order through our secure online cart or call us to order and pay via telephone. We do not keep card number on file and we do not have access to view credit card details. 

What states do you post your urns and jewellery to?

Australia wide delivery is available on all our cremation urns and memorial jewellery.

We also ship to USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand and Honk Kong.


- Delivery times for our cremation urns vary depending on which product you purchase. Please refer to the product page. Delivery times are anywhere from 2-3 days for one of our express couriers items we keep in stock or from 10 days to 5 weeks if it is a special order item.  Please note that as we sell such a wide range of urns we only hold stock of a small selection. Many of our urns are ordered in especially for each individual customer. Not all order are trackable. Orders are processed once payment has cleared. Delivery times will be calculated from the day after payment has cleared.


-STANDARD FREE POSTAGE OPTION. If you select this option please note that the stated delivery time for the product you have selected is an APPROXIMATE delivery time only and is not guaranteed.


- Delivery terms- Eg.' 5 Working days'... means WORKING DAYS only. Please calculate the delivery period using working days only. Weekends and public holidays are not included in the delivery time and need to be accounted for. If you urn is urgent please select EXPRESS POST at check out or call us to ask if there are any other options for the cremation urn you are after.

- Cremation Memorial Jewellery is posted via trackable post to ensure it arrives safely. Please allow 5-8 working days for delivery or have your memorial jewellery sent my Express Post. We aim to post all memorial jewellery and cremation jewellery as quickly as possible.


SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS- Urns listed on our website that are available by 'special order' are not available any sooner or via express post. The items need to be ordered in to our office before they are sent out.



We now only deliver our coffins to Melbourne metro and some regional areas in Victoria, Australia.
We understand that urgency and importance of delivering our funeral coffins on time and dedicate ourselves to doing so. By working closely with you and your chosen funeral director or funeral home we plan and arrange delivery within the set time frame you have to work with.

IMPORTANT- Delivery times are from the first WORKING DAY AFTER payment is received in full. For example, payment is made on a Monday before 2pm, delivery will be collected by the taxi truck the following morning. Our trucks do not work weekends or public holidays so time allowances will need to be included over such periods. Please note that the funeral director will need the coffin the day before the funeral or viewing at the very latest.

We advise you call us as soon at the very soonest opportunity to ensure there is enough time to deliver the coffin or casket. Waiting 24 or even 12 hours to think things over can often mean you miss out on saving your family $900 on the coffin. We aren't interested in pressuring you into a sale, we just don't like seeing anyone disappointed when all it came down to was a matter of hours with courier pick up times.

We now have funeral coffins and caskets stored (no showroom) in both Sydney and Melbourne. Please note that not all coffin models are stored in both Melbourne and Sydney 

and stock availability may vary from state to state. See table below for more information about item location, price and delivery times.

All our funeral caskets and coffins are well packed and protected in sturdy plain cardboard cartons ready for delivery.

If there is no one to assist at the delivery address then please add $40 to the above delivery fee. This additional fee is to cover a 2nd person from our team assisting with the delivery. This fee usually only applies if the coffin is not being delivered to a funeral home.

Once you have purchased your funeral casket, coffin or urn from Caskets Direct, you will need to select a funeral home that is happy to accept the delivery from us. Most funeral homes will respect your decision and should be happy to help. We have provided the contact details of some of these funeral homes on our funeral directors page.

Remember, there is no law preventing you from purchasing a coffin from a supplier other than your funeral home, however they are within their rights to request documentation. Should you need to provide any documentation to the funeral director to show that your casket meets Australian standards then please let us know. We are more than happy to email or post the testing report and manufacturer's guarantee.

Q- Do I need to be there to accept the delivery?

A- If the funeral coffin is being delivered directly to a funeral home you do not need to be there at the time of delivery. If you are having the coffin delivered to your home you will need to be home at the organised time of delivery. If you cannot be home to assist with the delivery or your health prevents you from assisting, we can provide a 2nd person to assist for a fee of $40.

Q- Can I pick up the casket myself?

A- Whilst we do permit collections from our Tottenham (VIC) warehouse, we strongly recommend that you have your casket or coffin delivered directly to the reputable funeral director of your choice. This ensures that your purchase is stored in the appropriate manner to maintain the products durability, paint finish and lacquer, and will also comply with letter of manufacturers guarantee. Should you still wish to collect the coffin or casket, you will need a standard size van. Our warehouse is based in Tottenham Victoria, approximately 10km west of Melbourne's CBD.


We endeavor to keep our prices as low as possible and have achieved this by operating our business online only rather than having a retail space. However we do not control the prices charged for delivery, and these prices may be subject to change without notice.

Please note that our coffins and caskets are NOT permanent product ranges and stock and prices are subject to change with out notice.

Returns Policy for our Coffins, Urns and Memorial Jewellery

You may return most new, unused items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

We provide a 100% money back guarantee on all our funeral products. Items must be returned in as new condition with the original packaging in place to qualify for a full refund.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
